19 electrical panels in Ruse with a new look thanks to the “Nova Energia” project and the support of EP North

Ruse is now more colorful and inspiring thanks to the realized project “New Energy”, created on the idea of the artist Martin Petrov. The project presents the result of a series of creative outdoor actions, the aim of which is to transform the outdoor urban environment through artistic interventions on electric boards.
Initiators of “New Energy” are the artists Martin Petrov and Emma Yordanova, who with the support of their young colleagues Daria Bratoeva and Mihaela Mladenova realized the first series of colorful artistic accents in the exterior environment of the city.
The project seeks to create new aesthetic norms and bring cultural value where such practice has been lacking until now. Through artistic transformation of neglected and unaesthetic urban sites, fresh visual messages are conveyed and innovative practices are introduced into art.
During the summer months, a total of 19 electrical panels in different areas of Ruse — both in the central part and in the districts of Rodina and Zdravets — acquired a new, beautiful look. The work on the project aroused lively interest and numerous positive reactions from passers-by, and the social effect and impact turned out to be particularly strong.
“Nova Energia” aims to build new aesthetic standards in cultural terms and to stimulate the introduction of innovative practices in contemporary art. The project is implemented with the support of the “Culture” Program of the Municipality of Ruse and ERP North.
As a result of this joint work, a special photo exhibition will also be presented, showing the transformation of the urban environment. The opening is scheduled for September 30, 2025 at 18:00 at the Art Gallery — Ruse.
