ENERGO-PRO provided the support of the regional governors for secure electricity supply in the winter months

ENERGO-PRO held the last two workshops in Varna and Silistra as part of its tour of the regional administrations in North-East Bulgaria. The main focus was the preparation for the winter season and the acceleration of the campaign for cleaning and maintenance of the drafts under the overhead power lines. The company presented the investments made in the electricity distribution network, modern maintenance equipment and preventive measures taken to limit accidents and fires. Emphasis was placed on the need for faster administrative procedures and updating of regulations, in order to more effectively treat dangerous trees outside easement zones passing through state, municipal and private forests.

At each of the meetings held, local authorities declared their full readiness to assist in the marking and removal of dangerous vegetation, as well as coordination in emergency situations, in order to ensure a stable electricity supply for the residents of the nine districts.

To date, more than 57,000 dangerous trees have been marked, and removal activities have begun in some areas, and effective actions to remove them are yet to be launched in others.

The aim of the company is, together with the local government and the responsible institutions, to prepare the network for the upcoming winter season with maximum attention to the security and reliability of the power supply. In the implementation of the activities, it will continue to rely on their active partnership to speed up the process and ensure the peace of mind of its customers.
