ENERGO-PRO reports growth in electricity consumption in the second reporting period in February

ENERGO-PRO data for the second reporting group, which covers 279,000 households, shows that in February 2026 electricity consumption continues to grow compared to January. Total reported electricity this month was nearly 148 million kWh, up from just over 137 million kWh a month earlier. An increase of 7.38% was reported. The average household consumption reached 529 kWh compared to 493 kWh in January. This also leads to an increase of 7.19% in the average bill, which is 71.12 euros for February compared to 66.35 euros in January. These figures are part of the overall trend of increasing consumption during the three reporting periods in February.

Comparison with the same month of 2025 shows an even more serious increase. Average consumption is more than 20% higher and the average bill is growing by nearly 24% year-on-year. The main reason for the higher values is the more intensive use of electricity in the winter months mainly for heating, lighting and daily household needs. The indicated values are average and cannot be automatically applied to each specific household, since consumption is individual.

At present, ENERGO-PRO has not detected erroneous January invoices or discrepancies in the issuance of invoices to customers. The company's accounting system is fully automated and operates with a high degree of precision, with data being fed and processed automatically, which minimizes the possibility of human error. In the event that an individual customer has doubts about the amount charged, he can file a signal or complaint for verification. Each specific case is considered individually. When a discrepancy is detected, the amount due is reimbursed by deducting it from the next invoice.
