ERP North invests 2.4 million leva to improve the quality of power supply in Varna

With an investment of over BGN 2.4 million, ERP North has implemented the modernization of the Trakata substation, in which a new power transformer with a capacity of 50 MVA and a voltage of 115/21 kV has been installed and put into operation. Thanks to it, more than 22,000 customers in the area will have a more reliable and secure power supply.
The transformer is of the latest generation - it is distinguished by lower energy losses, as well as significantly reduced noise and vibration levels compared to old models. The facility will improve security of supply and increase opportunities for new customers to join in a number of areas, including:

With its addition, the total installed power of the Trakata substation is increased from 25 to 50 megawatts, which provides the possibility of uninterrupted power supply even in the event of an emergency. The commissioning of the transformer is a key step in the company's efforts to modernize and increase the reliability of the electricity distribution network in the region. The new facility guarantees more stable voltage and overload protection at peak moments.
With the strategic investment made, ERP North reinforces its commitment to a more secure, modern and sustainable electricity supply to support the development of Varna. The company is already planning further investments - construction of two new node stations in the district. “Apricot Garden” and health resort “St. St. Konstantin and Elena “, which will meet the growing needs in electricity consumption in the maritime capital.
