ERP North invests 30 million leva in the electricity distribution network of Varna district within two years

In 2019, ERP North made investments in the amount of BGN 15 million in Varna region. 11 million of them are directed to the main priorities of the company for improvement and construction of a new network, as well as supply of specialized equipment and tools necessary for the operational activity of the company's teams. 4 million were invested in projects concerning the electricity metering program of ERP North and connections to the electricity distribution network. Part of the projects of the electricity distribution company in the past year included replacement of cable lines in the district city and reconstruction of low-voltage networks in the municipalities of Avren, Aksakovo, Byala, Valchi dol, Dolni Chiflik, Dalgopol, Provadia, Suvorovo.

In 2020, a new 15 million were pledged in the investment and repair programs of ERP North, the planning of which was made after careful expert analysis by the company. The main objective of the programmes is the reconstruction of networks and the replacement of cable lines when necessary, as well as the coverage of places with increased electricity consumption for the construction of a completely new network. Another investment focus of the company in 2020 is the replacement of main facilities in the distribution systems of substations and node stations in North-East Bulgaria. The projects cover the Chaika, Asparuhovo, Devnya 2, Maksuda substations. The project for modernization of the Varna-Iztok substation, launched in 2019, will also be completed. The rehabilitation of the electricity distribution network and adjacent key facilities will improve the quality of power supply to the company's customers.

ERP North manages and maintains a power distribution network with a total length of 43,025 km and 26 substations. The licensed territory of the company is nearly 30,000 sq. km and covers 9 administrative districts in North-East Bulgaria - Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Dobrich, Razgrad, Ruse, Silistra, Targovishte and Shumen. ERP North transports electricity through the electricity distribution network for the purpose of supplying final customers, both on the regulated market and on the electricity market at freely negotiated prices.
