Residents of the Silistra village of Smilets turned to Rysov-Ruse with a signal about a stork braided in a string near its nest. After an inspection by an expert from the Biodiversity Department, the eco-inspection turned to ERP North with a request for assistance, and the signal was forwarded to the company's regional centers in Silistra.

Electricians often play the role of bird rescuers. On June 23, employees of ERP North successfully cooperated and organized a rescue operation with a specialized company car (avtovishka), freeing the stork from the wound rope.

Thanks to the timely response and professional intervention of the employees, the bird was unharmed and returned to freedom in the wild.

EPP North has established an operational program to place platforms that are placed in place of already built stork nests, but at a safe distance from the wires.

The company works with environmental organizations on joint projects for securing electrical equipment and ensuring safe residence of birds on the territory of North-Eastern Bulgaria.
