EP North employees fix accidents in severe weather

Heavy snowfall and strong, sometimes hurricane-force winds in northeastern Bulgaria, have led to serious problems with electricity supply. The winds caused numerous accidents on the power grid, breaking wires and causing damage to facilities in various sections.
The emergency teams of Elektrodistribuenie Sever are mobilized and working hard in extremely severe weather conditions. Employees respond in a timely and efficient manner to restore power, often having to work in hard-to-reach areas where snow and strong winds make access difficult. Despite these challenges, rapid and effective action is restoring electricity supply in a timely manner.
The company is coordinating its actions with crisis headquarters and local authorities to ensure the fastest possible restoration of the power grid and minimize inconvenience to customers.
The active cleaning programme launched by ERP North at the beginning of 2025 mitigated the impact of adverse weather on the quality electricity supply of our customers.
As a result of the 559 km clearing and the massive removal of dangerous trees around the power lines, the emergency teams were able to reach the damaged facilities faster and ensure a quick restoration of the power supply.
Due to the large number of calls, customers of Elektrodistribuenie Sever can send emergency alerts to the 24-hour telephone 0700 1616 61, and there is a possibility that the lines will be temporarily hampered.
