The debt of the water company is over 3.7 million leva

Power supply to facilities of “Water Supply and Sewerage” EOOD, Dobrich city, will be interrupted due to accumulated old obligations for consumed electricity. The debt of the water company to the electricity distribution company reached over 3.7 million leva, which together with their current accounts exceeds 5 million leva.

In recent months, numerous meetings have been held, including with representatives of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works (MRDB), and the State Commission for Energy and Water Regulation (DCEVR) has been alerted to the problem, but to no avail. The debt is constantly growing. The company is forced to proceed with the interruption of the power supply to objects of the water company, which, unfortunately, will lead to disruption of the normal water supply in Dobrich.

Initially, the power outage will be carried out according to the following schedule:

on 13.09.2012 from 00:00 to 24:00 on 18.09.2012 from 00:00 to 24:00 on 20.09.2012 from 00:00 to 24:00

The company undertakes to restore the electricity supply to the water supply system — Dobrich immediately after repayment of the company's obligations.

“We understand that a power outage will cause serious inconvenience to people in Dobrich, and so we used all other ways to solve the problem before this final step was taken, but to no avail. In a meeting with representatives of the Regional Government and the Municipality, we stated our readiness to provide full assistance to overcome the difficult situation, we offered to help in the provision of aquifers. We requested information from the Plumbing on the organization of water supply in the city in order to minimize the impact on the main hospital facility in the city MBAL-Dobrich. We are also complying with the first day of school and we will not interrupt the power supply on September 17, but we cannot continue to credit Plumbing — Dobrich. Nobody is waiting for us when we have to pay our suppliers for the electricity that we supply to the homes of the citizens of Dobrich,” explained Antonia Krasteva, member of the Management Board of ENERGO-PRO EAD.
